Lives at: 4 Pike Lane.

Age: Early 70’s

Appearance: 5’ 9” tall. Still looks fit for his age, hair grey. Blue eyes.

George has a twinkle about him and has never lost the roguish gleam in his eye he had when he was younger. Prone to being impetuous and not thinking things through, he can get himself into scrapes without really trying.

Family: Wife: Muriel (deceased)
             Son: John
             Daughter: Rowena

Background: Born the son of a farm labourer, George followed in his father’s footsteps almost literally, earning a few pence as a youngster helping in the fields whenever he wasn’t at school. Aware at a very early age that charm and a cheeky grin would get him out of trouble with his mother, he soon learned that the same charm worked just as well with the girls of the village but with a very different end result. The reputation he gained for being a Casanova was well deserved, there being very few women, single or married, who could resist the amorous advances of this good looking and personable young man. When he met and fell in love with Muriel Green, he vowed to mend his ways but Muriel recognised that George’s needs far outweighed her own and it was understood between them that as long as he was discreet, she would turn a blind eye to his philandering.

George worked at Milliwick Farm and still helps out occasionally during busy times of the year.

Currently: George has been a widower for five years. Knowing Jessie Shepherd since childhood, their friendship has lasted to the present day. Jessie is one of very few that could resist his winning smile and George hasn’t given up hope that they will eventually become more than friends.
